A photographic journey through the century

The architecture of Klybeck still bears witness to the city’s industrial history. Back in the heyday of dye chemistry, tall chimneys and fuming smokestacks dominated Klybeck’s skyline. Today, the area is set to undergo a major transformation to convert the erstwhile industrial hub into a thriving urban space. While some of the old production buildings will be dismantled to make way for new structures, others will be renovated and retained as reminders of the past grandeur. The following photo series provides an intimate insight into the architectural evolution of a district that bridges past and present.
