In her second interview with Monocle, Susanne Schaffert says that, while she is impressed with the advances in cancer research, she is also fully aware of the need for new treatments and access and that her team will leave no stone unturned to develop new therapies and work on helping patients to receive the medicines they need. While innovation will be key to achieving this goal, she says that cultivating a disruption mindset will be just as important if the word cancer is to be consigned to the history books.
