Joana Vukatana thought she had left societal expectations of women behind her when she moved from Albania to the U.S. for college. As one of the few women in her computing program, she realized that she had to break yet another mold. Now, besides her fast-moving career at NIBR Informatics, Joana Vukatana is dedicated to helping the next generation of female coders and re-writing the rules for women in science.
