Family Ties

In 2014, Marc Rijken faced his first unexpected heart attack, with no clear explanation as to why it happened. After a second heart attack three years later, doctors were still unable to find a cause. Eventually, they discovered that Marc had a genetic condition, drastically increasing his risk of cardiovascular disease—a revelation that would forever change his life and that of his family.
