Mike Exton was one step away from starting his career in academia as a professor in neuroscience, when he decided to start afresh in the pharmaceutical industry in his native Australia. Exton, who today acts as the Global Therapeutic Area Head in Cardiovascular at Novartis, has never repented the move. What drives him is a restless sense of curiosity and adventure.
