As a child, John Tsai liked to take things apart – not always to the liking of his siblings. But his natural curiosity, which brought him first to electrical engineering and then to medicine, drove his career during all these years. In his role as Global Head Drug Development and Chief Medical Officer at Novartis, Tsai has a clear vision on how to spur drug development and help patients get drugs faster.
