Simone Wilder learned to appreciate her hearing impairment as a superpower (read transcript here), which is sharpening her other senses and strengthening her ability to empathize with people. Though technology has come a long way since she picked out her first hearing aid as a child, Wilder believes that acceptance is just as important for navigating life with a disability. Well aware of the power of representation, she is committed to helping co-workers at Novartis Gene Therapies understand her experience of achieving goals in a different way.
